Lessons learned πŸ’–

With all I have said in the previous post, I want to share some of the lessons I learned along the way, 'cause if you're like me who is a big softy and has a big heart, and was also naΓ―ve of the present state of the heart of most people in the world, always expecting the best and never the worst from people, these are some things you need to know (I heard them a lot but they became real to me this year, and yes, I believe God's Love is more than enough to cover for the mess-ups you may make, but you can learn from my experiences with the help of the Holy Spirit. They don't necessarily have to be your experiences so you won't have to go through the same things);

1.     God's Love for you will never change. IT NEVER HAS AND IT NEVER WILL. (Romans 8 vs 38-39)

2.     The people that are FOR YOU will be FOR YOU no matter what; no matter the mistakes you have made and/or will make and no matter the distance or time that has passed between you both, or you all.

3.     Learn to HOLD ON to God's Word and Promises and focus on them irrespective of your circumstances and what is happening around you

  • HOLD GOD BY HIS WORD. RENEW YOUR MIND WITH SCRIPTURE REGULARLY. (Matthew 24 vs 35)

4.     The importance of GRATITUDE cannot be overemphasized (Psalm 34 vs 1; Psalm 103 vs 1);

  • Science has proven that gratitude (Thanksgiving) and worry cannot coexist in the same place
  • Some things I am grateful for;
    • This year I auditioned for ABUAD Chapel Choir (ACC) Twice, and I know for sure that I am going to get in;
    • GOD LOVES ME and that will never change;
    • I have Jesus in my life and I am LIVING FOR HIS GLORY πŸŽΆ;
    •  I'm alive and well; My Family is too... The list goes on.
  •  You can try keeping a gratitude journal if you want and/or need to

5.     BE NICE to people even if you think they don't deserve it (Be the Image of God you are IMAGO DEI πŸ”₯. Kindness is still a Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5 vs 22-23))

6.     Treat others the way you would want to be treated (even if/when they treat you badly (Luke 6 vs 31)) Don't repay evil for evil πŸ“Œ

7.     Let the Wisdom of God lead you (Ecclesiastes 10 vs 10b) Not the knowledge or wisdom of man; THE WISDOM OF GOD

8.     Females aren't as bad as I thought πŸ˜… You just have to find the right ones to be in your life (I made a lot of strong relationships with a lot of wonderful females this year πŸ˜Š, as you can see πŸ˜˜)

9.     Define relationships if/when you are not sure (either in your mind or between yourself and the person to avoid confusion. It will save you a lot of mental stress πŸ‘)

10. LOVE GOD unashamedlyLove and learn to appreciate yourself, and Love people as well

    • Nobody is going to kill you when you love God. Worse comes to worst, they will leave, and that's fine 'cause no relationship is worth losing your relationship with God for πŸ˜’ And if they do kill you well... "...to live is Christ, and to die is gain." They just fast-tracked your reunion with Him anyway πŸ’…

o    I had to learn to intentionality love myself this year, though I am still learning; to learn what I like and what I do not, treat myself, take myself out, applaud myself when I do something right, correct myself the way I would a friend when I do something wrong... The little things go a long way πŸ˜Š

o    Love others sacrificially, as much as you're able and as much as you're led to

11.      Appreciate your Family, both blood-related and otherwise, more than you already do (They're only there for so long. Thank me later), and show them love in whatever way you can, in words and in action πŸ’–

12.            FORGIVE :

  • I learned to forgive. I realized that unforgiveness is like poison; it leads to bitterness, and sheltering unforgiveness in your heart is like drinking poison and expecting the offender to be affected, or putting yourself in a prison cell and expecting the other person to be the one caged.
  • It is not healthy for your soul; Release that person, settle that issue, and let go of that grudge, for God’s sake and for your own.
  • LET THAT PERSON GO!!! And let your forgiveness come as a Revelation of the forgiveness you have been given by God through Christ ✝️

Yeah, so, by the Grace of Almighty God, and by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, that is all I have to say πŸ˜Š

Oh, and in case you're wondering πŸ˜…, the pictures I have on the two end-of-year posts are of those the Lord personally used to bless me, make my 2022 not so lonely, made the Journey memorable, and brought me healing when I needed it.
